February Book of the Month

I am excited to share that our Book of the Month for February is “Whoosh! by Chris Barton. 

This book is about engineer/inventor Lonnie Johnson, his invention of the SuperSoaker, and the path he went on to try to get the invention to market.  It is a great story celebrating a black innovator in the STEM fields during Black History Month. The story inspires curiosity, perseverance, and discovery through engineering.  A good read all around.

I encourage you to visit the Reading Public Library or Whitelam Books and enjoy this great title.  Happy Reading!
