March Book of the Month

I am excited to share that our Book of the Month for March is "A Hundred Billion Trillion Stars”  by Seth Fishman.

This book is about the amazing power of enormous numbers. It is a great read for younger learners to think about the scale of how big is big… and older learners & adults to think about (and try to say) massive numbers and their relationships in our world. A fun numeric brain stretcher with joyful illustrations.

I encourage you to visit the Reading Public Library or Whitelam Books and enjoy this great title.  Happy Reading!

February Book of the Month

I am excited to share that our Book of the Month for February is Whoosh! by Chris Barton.

This book is about engineer/inventor Lonnie Johnson, his invention of the SuperSoaker, and the path he went on to try to get the invention to market.  It is a great story celebrating a black innovator in the STEM fields during Black History Month. The story inspires curiosity, perseverance, and discovery through engineering.  A good read all around.
