The January Book of the Month is “Up Your Nose.” This title is written by Seth Fishman and illustrated by Isabel Greenberg. (Seth is the author of one of our books from last year; A Hundred Billion Trillion Stars and did the live webinar with us!) This book might become a favorite of our school nurses – it “digs” into what’s up your nose, on your hands, and in your body… GERMS! The book looks over the 5 common types of microbes and how our body protects us from them. The fun illustrations allow students to dive into the icky world of germs (and how they can stay healthy including medicine, vaccines, and behavior: washing hands, eating right, getting exercise and sleep.) A TIMELY book for this germy-time of year!
